Malleolar protectors to prevent and relieve malleolar pain during sports activities (skiing, snowboarding, rollerblading...).
Indications for ski malleolus protectionNo more pain in the malleolus, which spoils the pursuit of your activities... Enjoy your skiing to the full and stay in top form thanks to EPITACT® malleolar protectors!
EPITACT® malleolus protectors prevent and relieve overheating and pain on the malleoli in the support zones of high-cut boots.
They are therefore highly effective in boots used for board sports (skiing, snowboarding, field hockey, rollerblading, skating, mountaineering...).
How do they work?
All their effectiveness is based on EPITELIUMTACT 04, a shock-absorbing silicone gel with excellent ability to reduce friction and pressure on the skin.
Self-adhesive, it ensures optimum hold of the protectors for the duration of the activity. These malleolus protectors are very thin (2 mm), so they don't cause any discomfort and are invisible in all types of high shoes.
Use malleolar pads on clean, dry skin.
They can be removed and repositioned without restriction.
Preferably, put a sock over them.
After use, place the protectors in the storage pouch provided and store in the metal bag until next use.
Do not use silicone malleolar pads on skin lesions.
For people suffering from diabetes, arteritis, polyneuritis, neuropathy of the lower limbs or varicose ulcers: ask your doctor or chiropodist for advice, and monitor your foot during use.

How to care for the protectors
Ski malleolus protectors can be washed by hand (without rubbing) with soap and water. Leave to dry naturally. Discard and replace if gel cracks or fabric deteriorates.
Pain in the malleoli often occurs in shoes that have a rigid shell on the outside (ski boots, rollerblades, skates...). This type of footwear can cause painful pressure against the bony projections on the sides and top of the ankle (malleoli, scaphoids), particularly if the bindings are too tight or the shoe size is too small or too large.
How often can I wash and reuse ski malleolus protectors?
Silicone malleolar protectors can be washed up to 30 times without altering their properties. We recommend that you wash them after each use, to preserve their self-adhesive properties and remove any dust and impurities. By cleaning the surface, you restore their original adhesive properties.
Can sport malleolus pads cause allergies?
Gels used directly on the skin must be totally biocompatible. EPITACT® gels are medical grade to minimize the risk of skin intolerance. What's more, ski malleolus protectors are made from silicone, and allergies to this material are extremely rare.
